Kenneth Richard Cullen

Kenneth Richard Cullen, 75, of Borden, Indiana, passed away on Friday, April 30, 2021. He began a successful career in quality assurance at Snap-On and concluded with General Devices in Indianapolis. Ken was an avid reader and always enjoyed a good western movie. He will mostly be remembered for his quick wit and great sense of humor. Ken scuba dived in oceans all over the world. He always stayed active, walking, biking and swimming. His favorite pastime was playing Cribbage and Ken was especially proud of his perfect hand after 68 years of playing. He will be greatly missed.
He was born on November 3, 1945 in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada to the late James and Phurn (Smith) Cullen. Ken was also preceded in death by his grandparents, James and Gertrude Cullen, Ernest and Margaret Smith; brothers, Cliff, Terry and Rory Sean Cullen; and his son, Richard Cullen.
Ken is survived by his wife of over 53 years, Bette (Courchaine) Cullen; daughters, Chris of Sellersburg, Indiana, Terri (Brian) of Russelville, Arkansas, and Amanda (Kris) of Louisville, Kentucky; the joy of his life, grandchildren, Vincent and Dottie; sisters, Kathleen, Sheilah (Don); brothers, Don (Dorie), Douglas (Maureen), Dennis (Brenda); as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family members in Canada.
Cremation was chosen following Ken's wishes. A reception of family and friends will be from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 15, 2021 at St. John Paul II Catholic Church, St. Paul Campus (216 Schellers Avenue, Sellersburg, IN) with his funeral Mass taking place at 11 a.m.
